Apprentice Sarah joins the team

Sarah Pearce is the latest addition to the Tecmark team, joining as Digital Content Promotion apprentice.

Sarah, 19, joins to quench a thirst for blogging and marketing, particularly in the tourism industry, and will be working on a range of clients including within travel.

She said: “Everyone in the office and has welcomed me to the team, and I look forward to learning more about the specifics in the industry so I can understand everything that is being talked about!

“I’m here for 12 months and I hope that the opportunity enables me to earn a full-time, permanent role at the end of it.

“I come in not with a great deal of knowledge at the moment, but really keen to do more blogging, learn more about marketing and especially keyword research and the technical work that goes on in the background.

“Building links is of course so important to any SEO campaign, and so helping to produce good content and building relationships with journalists and bloggers will be a key part of my role.”

Tecmark Search Director, Stacey MacNaught, said: “We are committed to giving hungry young people a chance in the industry. We have a great foundation for people to learn the theory behind SEO and also to develop their skills within our environment.

“It is great to welcome Sarah and we look forward to her being a successful addition to the team.”

Sarah has been recruited through the Apprentice Academy, who were recommended by one of our clients MiPa.

James Clarke, from the Apprentice Academy, said: “There is a lot of talk about the growing skills gap in the digital and online marketing industry.

“In reality, the only real way to really solve this is by employers developing skills from grassroots.

“Sarah was keen to break into digital marketing and it is great to see Tecmark providing that opportunity to kick start her career.”
