Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

We would like to take this opportunity and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What a year it has been!

So what are the highlights of this year for Tecmark?

To quote our Managing Director, Richard Heyes, it was launching our Digital PR service. Richard says: “we pride ourselves on re-inventing our agency. The new Digital PR team have been getting amazing results right from launch of this new department.”

One of our team members, Sarah Pearce – our lovely Digital PR apprentice, won an award (the Apprentice Star) and was being filmed by the Apprentice Academy to mark her successful apprenticeship at our agency. This video is about life as an apprentice, and will be used as a showcase to other apprentices and young people choosing an apprenticeship as a career path.

Our very own Stacey MacNaught travelled across the UK and beyond to speak at some amazing conferences such as Digital Elite Camp in Estonia, Learn Inbound in Dublin, The Tomorrow Lab in Belfast, Brighton SEO, and SASCon here in Manchester.

We expanded our team with some great SEO experts, web developers and copywriters. And some wonderful brands and companies joined our ever growing client base.

And what are we excited about in 2017?

We are moving into a new office. We are very excited as everyone will get involved while decorating and making it ours – at the end of the day, we want to make it cosy and creative! Watch this space for more news about our new office.

We are also excited to work on some great campaigns that we are planning with our existing clients and getting new clients on board!

See you in 2017!

Journalists are inundated with pitches and press releases, the majority of which will be moved straight to their trash without a second’s thought. So how do you nail your subject line so your pitch isn’t immediately disregarded?

There can be a variety of reasons for a website to exist, whether that’s because you’re selling a product, service or providing information. There has to be a purpose and focus in how you get that information across so that, first of all, users find your website and secondly, they convert.

At some point during your career in an agency, you’ll find yourself pitching to a client. And it doesn’t stop there – from pitching and presenting a campaign strategy there’s a phone call & face-to-face meeting, and eventually reporting.
